To create a better future for sharks through education and action.
Humans kill over 100 million sharks a year, some for fins, some for meat, some for souvenirs, and some for fun. Sharks are suffering, the oceans are suffering, this in turn means humans will suffer. To think of an ocean without sharks is a terrifying thought but could soon be a horrible reality.
OceanKin conservation was founded as a way to educate people through kindness and understanding to make everyone see these beings from a different perspective. Not everyone needs to love sharks but we should all respect them. Oceankin pledges to use our voices and speak up for sharks, for the ocean and for the planet. We are fighting to change the narrative by creating a better future for sharks and creating change for generations to come. The ocean can never have too many people fighting for its survival, We are all ambassadors of this beautiful blue planet. Together we can continue to fight for a kinder world for sharks and protect our OceanKin.
"It isn’t my job to make people love sharks the way I do. It’s my job to simply make people realize that these incredible animals deserve better. So much better." Alice Cimino
